The legacy of Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, continues with the new posthumous compilation, AVICII FOREVER. The collection is coming out May 16, and it includes 20 total tracks spread across the late EDM icon’s legendary career.
Classics such as “Levels,” “Wake Me Up,” and “Waiting For Love” are part of the release as expected, but there are some lesser-known tracks as well. The funky downtempo song, “Friend Of Mine,” made it onto the list. So did Bergling's early dance pop weapon, “Fade Into Darkness.”
The compilation also highlights Bergloing's stellar reputation for collaboration. Guests such as Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora, and Nicky Romero all have a presence on the record through their various works, like the bouncing tropical track, “SOS,” the joyously melodic “Lonely Together,” and the EDM standard, “I Could Be The One.”
AVICII FOREVER also expands Bergling's roster of collaborations with a new twangy single entitled “Let’s Ride Away” with Elle King.
This compilation is the latest of many recent pieces of material from Bergling’s estate. At the end of last year, the new documentary, I’m Tim, was released on Netflix. Then, back in February, “Forever Yours (Tim's 2016 Ibiza Version),” a standout track from Bergling’s final performance, was released as well.
