The seasoned experimental collaborators, Aaron Hibell and Dan Heath, have come together for another work: a new single is entitled “Odyssey.”

This symphonic ambient piece of music is split into two movements within its run time. Each half begins with serene piano chords and harmonious choral layers, gradually building into grand orchestral swells. While there is no driving four-to-the-floor beat, the two artists carefully place drums at intentional moments, accentuating the audio with just the right amount of percussive force.

“Odyssey” served as a point of inspiration to Cercle CEO Derek Barbolla in curating the musical atmosphere for the touring concept, Cercle Odyssey. This new live offering from Cercle is the first-ever large-scale 360-degree nomadic concert experience. It will open on Wednesday, April 23, in Mexico City, then travel to Los Angeles and Paris. Hibel will perform “Odyssey” live when he opens for Ben Böhmer at Cercle Odyssey in Paris on June 1.

"’Odyssey’ represents a journey of awakening and enlightenment for me—it’s a truly beautiful piece that I hope takes you out of this world. We blended organic piano textures with live strings, adding depth to the composition. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created and hope you enjoy it," Hibell says in a press release.

"The idea behind ‘Odyssey’ was to create something beautiful that speaks from the heart. I hope this track inspires you, lifts your spirits, and helps you drop from the head to the heart," Heath continues.
