FEMNOISE: A label, an incubator, a movement

Femnoise Records is the next logical step in the evolution of Femnoise - a global platform born in Barcelona in 2018 that has been creating real space in the electronic music industry for women and gender-diverse artists.

Femnoise started as a group of DJs determined to take over booths they were rarely invited to and developed into a collective taking over stages at festivals like Primavera Sound, DGTL, and Brunch Electronik.

The pandemic taught this group that female and gender-diverse talent in music production absolutely exists, but it’s often scattered, invisible, or disconnected from the industry. That's when they launched their global map of women in music. In 2023, Femnoise became not only a record label, but also a creative lab and meeting point for emerging FLINTA.

Less talk, more tracks: Listening to music produced by women is activism.

Only 6.5% of music producers worldwide are women. It’s the widest gap in the industry, and the hardest to close.

Femnoise Records is here to change that. Their mission is to empower new producers with the tools, resources, and support they need to compete in the electronic music industry. It's not just about releasing a track, it's about understanding the game: how a release works, how to build visibility, how to connect with other labels, agencies, and key players.

Femnoise Records wants to become a launchpad label - the one that helps new producers break out of invisibility, ensuring their first steps in the industry don’t depend on a one-in-a-million stroke of luck.

The goal? When a big label goes looking for new talent, they'll find women producers who are prepared, visible, and ready.

Because talent is everywhere. What’s missing are real opportunities.

2025: New Producers, New Territories, More Visibility

This year, Femnoise Records is expanding its radar even further by reaching out globally to spotlight new FLINTA* producers with their own sound and a clear vision.

From Lisbon comes MAYAN, founder of female:pressure Portugal. From Poland, Virtual Geisha, not only a powerful producer but also the founder of Virtual Geisha DJ Lab, empowering the next generation of DJs in Eastern Europe. From Canada, the energetic sounds of Cozmic Cat. And new talent is already on the way from Australia and Latin America.

The entire FEMX catalogue comes with a unique visual identity, designed by Dutch-Catalan artist Luna Carinna. Each track is interpreted and painted in oil on canvas, transforming sound into art. These original pieces will soon be part of a traveling exhibition across different countries, merging music, creativity, and visual storytelling.

Femnoise Records is always searching for new producers — from any corner of the world. If you’ve got tracks and attitude, they want to hear from you. Demos are open via LabelRadar.
