LP Giobbi & FEMME HOUSE Drop Expansive ‘Femme House Vol. 2’ Compilation
The community-focused nonprofit shares an all-female, 14-track collection to kick off Women’s History Month.
Launched in 2019 by DJ/producer LP Giobbi alongside Lauren ‘hermixalot’ Spaulding, FEMME HOUSE is a non-profit label and organization with a focus on fostering a more equitable music industry. Through education and scholarships, FEMME HOUSE offers a wealth of professional development opportunities for femme and gender-expansive music producers and DJs.
More than 10,000 individuals spanning 1,400 cities have been educated through the FEMME HOUSE online academy over the past five years. Their program offering ranges from music production and DJing to studio and radio techniques.
The nonprofit’s new 14-track compilation, Femme House Vol. 2 — released in collaboration with Insomniac Records — reinforces the organization’s commitment to amplifying marginalized voices with an exclusive lineup of female-identifying artists. The compilation features snappy dance tracks from tastemakers such as Mary Droppinz, inclusivity advocate Baby Weight, and the wide-ranging duo Lisbona Sisters. Listen below.
“I am honored to celebrate Women’s History Month with the release of Volume 2 of the FEMME HOUSE Compilation on Insomniac,” says LP Giobbi. “Only 2% of producers are female, and this compilation highlights some of my favorite female and gender-expansive producers/artists that are changing the game right now.”
The Femme House Vol. 2 compilation is out now via FEMME HOUSE/Insomniac Records. Buy it on Beatport.
