p-rallel Releases Glossy New EP, ‘Can’t Be Me’
This marks the Beatport Next Artist’s first multi-track release since his 2023 album, ‘Movement.’

p-rallel has put out his highly anticipated new EP, Can’t Be Me. This release includes four tracks from the 2025 Beatport Next Artist, all of which provide a funky and flavorful take on modern house music.
Two of the four are singles out ahead of the main drop. “Feel That,” is the cruising deep house tune that features the Northern California rapper, Drewbyrd. “Fooling Me Twice,” the collaboration with the creative dance artist Dom Valentino, is a heavy groover, defined by its active bassline. The white-hot vocal chops take on the supporting role as the low-end shifts and bounces in response to the rough-edged beats.
The other two capture this same soulful, cross-genre energy in their own unique way. On “All I Need,” the centerpiece is the fuzzy vocal sample, so p-rallel tightens up the rest of the music into a succinct yet electrified backing track.
“Can’t Be Me,” employs sunny vocals paired with clean guitar strumming and an in-the-pocket bassline to create a joyful live feel that is sure to light up the dancefloor as day parties emerge for the 2025 season.
The Can’t Be Me EP from p-rallel is out now via Nevermind Recordings. Purchase it on Beatport.
