Patrick Topping unveils new release 4 For The Floor on Trick 16x9

TRICK, the record label helmed by the UK’s Patrick Topping, has reached the impressive milestone of 100 releases. To honor this achievement the boss himself has put out a new single, “Baby Daddy (Sperm Donor).” Fueled by Topping's signature jumpy basslines and a classic sample from DJ Nasty, this track is quintessential tech house, produced for no other purpose than fun times on the dancefloor.

Reflecting on the longevity of his label and the new production, Topping says, “It’s TRICK’s 100th release, and it only felt right to commemorate it with one of my own! I’ve wanted to do something with this vocal for years. If you’re an OG, you would have heard me play it in my sets back in 2014! I’ve always loved DJ Nasty—ever since I first heard Jamie Jones playing an edit of a different track of his in ‘09. I then brought this vocal back as an acapella in my sets last year, and everyone went mad, so I thought it was about time I made my own version!”

Kicking off in 2019, TRICK has hosted music from bona fide legends like DJ Deeon, been a launch point for now revered talents like Ewan McVicar, and welcomed modern tastemakers like Will Clarke and Justin Jay.

“Baby Daddy (Sperm Donor)” by Patrick Topping is out now via TRICK. Purchase it on Beatport.
