Few artists in bass music command the same level of excitement and energy as Ray Volpe. Known for his genre-blurring sound and high-impact production, Volpe is kicking off his debut album era with a statement. The first single, “GET SMACKED,” a collaboration with Vastive, is not just an introduction to his upcoming project, FOREVER, VOLPETRON—it’s a rallying cry for fans ready to experience his most ambitious work yet.

“I couldn’t be more excited that my first single off my debut album is ‘GET SMACKED’ with Vastive,” Volpe says. “The song is overflowing with nonstop energy and evolves throughout. It really makes a statement—like hey, this is my first album; I’m here to showcase my best work and who I am as an artist.”

The Perfect Collaboration: Ray Volpe & Vastive

Pairing up with Vastive was a natural move for Volpe. “Working with Vastive was so easy and fun. I’ve known about him for a while now; he’s been producing some of the best heavy bass music, so I knew I wanted to work with him on something,” he explains. The track initially started as a Vastive project, but when Volpe got his hands on it, the chemistry was instant.

Their combined efforts resulted in a track that fuses metal influences with heavy bass, weaving guitar riffs and aggressive drops into a sonic assault. “I think the blend of our styles worked perfectly—mixing heavy dubstep, our flows and rhythm, the energy, and infusing metal elements,” Volpe adds.

A Sound that Knows No Boundaries

While FOREVER, VOLPETRON is firmly rooted in bass music, it refuses to be confined to one lane. Drawing inspiration from metal, hip-hop, pop, and dance, Volpe’s approach is an extension of the creative restlessness that has defined his career.

“I’ve always tried to incorporate a little bit of everything since I started producing 15 years ago,” he says. “I love rock, metal, pop, dance, bass music—honestly everything. Infusing every little bit of my inspirations comes naturally to me.”

That refusal to settle into a single style is exactly what has kept Volpe’s music fresh and his fanbase growing. From early breakout hits to his collaborations with major names like Marshmello, he’s continuously pushed his sound forward. “So much has changed since I started making music—the capabilities of our DAWs, the explosion of social media, and so many incredible records to find inspiration from,” he reflects. “This album represents all of my styles, inspirations, and potential in one package.”

Live Shows: More Than Just a Rave

A Ray Volpe show isn’t just about the music—it’s an experience. Having sold out major venues like the Hollywood Palladium, he’s committed to making every set feel special. “With bass music, fans have the option to see an artist every week, multiple times a week if they want. I want them to feel like they’re getting immersed in my world, a proper concert experience where they can walk out of the venue feeling like they had an out-of-this-world night.”

The visuals, atmosphere, and energy of his shows will continue to evolve alongside the album’s rollout, making FOREVER, VOLPETRON not just a sonic journey but a full-fledged experience.

A Deep Connection with Fans

Volpe’s bond with his fanbase is at the heart of everything he does. Whether through his social media presence or personal meet-and-greets, he has built a community that fully embraces his genre-defying approach.

“I’ve been really fortunate to have a community of people who love multiple types of music. It makes it really easy for me to put out anything—whether it’s a heavy dubstep song, a melodic song, or a bass house tune. It also makes it really easy for my sets to be more open format too. I LOVE playing more than just dubstep for the hour when I’m at a show.”

Beyond the music, fans connect with Volpe on a personal level, often sharing their own stories. One moment that stands out for him was during his first VOLPEVERSE show in Denver, where a young fan attended with his family. “He had those big over-the-ear muffs for noise reduction, and it was his birthday. I think he was younger than nine. It was so cool to meet such a young basshead.”

The Impact of Industry Support

Volpe’s relentless work ethic and boundary-pushing sound have earned him support from industry heavyweights like Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, and DJ Snake. “It blows my mind,” he admits. “I don’t think it changes how I create music, but once I started getting support from big names, it really set in my head that hey, I can do this. This could be my life forever.”

DJ Snake’s endorsement of “GET SMACKED” at Lost Lands was a particular highlight. “I was shocked he opened with it. Anytime a big artist plays one of my songs, it really helps push that feeling of being good enough. It’s a level of validation that pushes all my insecurities away.”

FOREVER, VOLPETRON: The Next Chapter

With FOREVER, VOLPETRON, Volpe isn’t just releasing an album—he’s inviting fans into a world built from the foundations of his career. The high-energy, genre-blending sound of “GET SMACKED” is just the beginning of what promises to be his most dynamic and ambitious project yet.

“I hope fans feel the amount of love they give me right back in the music I make,” he says. “This is just the start of something bigger.”

Ray Volpe is here to stay, and if “GET SMACKED” is any indication, FOREVER, VOLPETRON is going to leave an impact that lasts just as long.
