Illenium and Kid Cudi were recently spotted in the studio together. The headlining bass artist posted a photo alongside the famous rapper to his Instagram story. The two of them were near an open Abelton session and a guitar. Two other notable artists, Jean Baptiste and Victor Thell, were in the photo as well. Though no music from either of the celebrated artists has been confirmed, a collaboration isn’t out of character for them.

This would not be the first time Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, has ventured into the world of dance music. Steve Aoki’s remix of Mescudi’s lauded rap epic, “Pursuit of Happiness,” was a major landbridge for drawing mainstream music fans into EDM. Mescudi also collaborated with Skrillex on the alt-rap cut, “Summertime,” and he recently joined Dom Dolla on stage at Madison Square Garden in New York to perform an unreleased song.

Illenium, real name Nick Miller, has also stepped into the pop realm many times in the past. Back in 2022, he worked with the major country artist Teddy Swims on a heartfelt trap beat, “All That Really Matters.” Then in 2023, he brought rock royalty into the fold with “Eyes Wide Shut,” his pop-punk collaboration with Travis Barker and Avril Lavigne. Barker has also remixed Illenium's gargantuan vocal track, "Good Things Fall Apart."
