Adam Beyer is Releasing his First Solo Album in Over 20 Years: 'Explorer Vol.1'
The release will be out June 13 on his own label, Drumcode.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has announced his first solo album in 20 years. The LP will be entitled Explorer Vol.1 and it’s coming out on Beyer’s revered label, Drumcode.
Alongside the news, Beyer also shared a single from the record, “Explorer.” The fresh track defines Beyer’s decades-long reputation for peak-time techno. Rumbling basslines underpin an ominous vocalist as spacey synths swirl around in the atmosphere like satellites orbiting a black hole, bracing to enter the unknown with unhindered courage.
“The journey begins now. Explorer Vol. 1, my new album lands June 13th. 16 tracks. New sounds. No boundaries,” Beyer wrote on Instagram.
Throughout those 16 cuts, Beyer has amassed myriad impressive collaborators including his protege Layton Giordani, the Afterlife maven Chris Avantgarde, Drumcode regular Julian Jeweil, and Toronto’s techno icon, HNTR.
Otherwise, Beyer produced 10 solo originals to demonstrate how far he has come since his last album, 2002’s Ignition Key. Two of the tracks are the singles he released earlier this year: the pop-infused “Do It For The Bass” and rave-styled “Circus Freaks.”
“Explorer” by Adam Beyer is out now via Drumcode. Purchase it exclusively on Beatport.
