Q&A with EAZYBAKED: The Power of Collaboration, Sound Evolution, and Exploring Vulnerability With ‘Respawn’
We caught up with bass music powerhouse duo EAZYBAKED following the release of their latest EP ‘Respawn’ - their most personal project to date.

Renowned for their electrifying performances and relentless commitment to their craft, EAZYBAKED has emerged as one of the most innovative forces in modern bass music. With high-profile collaborations alongside dubstep legends like Caspa and co-signs from artists like Zeds Dead, the duo has garnered widespread acclaim and support within the industry.
EAZYBAKED’s ability to blend raw emotion with contemporary bass music has set them apart, capturing the attention of both listeners and peers alike. Their musical journey is deeply rooted in a 15-year connection, formed on childhood playgrounds.
In this exclusive Q&A, EAZYBAKED reflects on the evolution of their sound, the emotional depth behind their work, and the profound impact of being part of something greater than themselves.
Q: EAZYBAKED has grown into a powerful force over the years, cultivating an incredible community of fans. How has this sense of connection shaped your project, and what keeps you so involved with your fans?
A: It’s shaped the project in a great way. We feel free to be ourselves and create whatever we want because we have such an open minded community of people supporting us! Honestly, a lot of the people who support us have been around from the beginning, or have been part of our climb one way or another, and I think that alone drives us to want to stay involved and continue to grow this community.
Q: You two have a rare bond that dates back to childhood—something that’s only strengthened as your careers have evolved. Instead of asking about challenges, I’d love to hear about the moments that reinforced your partnership. Were there any defining experiences or turning points where you realized you had something truly special together? How have those moments shaped the way you create and perform today?
A: We grew up going to a lot of music festivals and shows together. That was a transformative point in both of our lives. One of the biggest moments was going to our first music festival together (Counterpoint 2014) and taking pure LSD and having the realization that this is what we want to do with our lives hahah (that sounds crazy) but I can remember talking to each other without speaking any actual words and just having this like, sense of understanding for what we felt and wanted to do together.
Q: Vulnerability can be difficult to express through bass music yet you seamlessly integrate deeply personal themes into your discography while maintaining a hard-hitting sound. What’s your creative thought process behind balancing these two elements?
A: Bass music is part of the core of who we are. But we both have tastes beyond that. It's always intertwined into our projects, yet we try to incorporate both of our other tastes and things that inspire us at the time.
Q: Your Respawn EP took a detour from your usual sound, resonating deeply with fans on an emotional level. What was it like taking such a big creative risk, and how has the overwhelming feedback impacted you?
A: It was honestly scary! but also very freeing. felt really good to let out such a meaningful project. We make all kinds of music all the time and never want to feel limited or boxed in! The feedback was overwhelming and inspires us to keep expressing ourselves freely.
Q: Your debut album INTERTWINED (released nearly three years ago) had a dark, heavy theme with tracks like “Letting Go” and “Isolation”. Meanwhile, Respawn also explores the idea of letting go but through a more ethereal, lighter lens. How does this theme take on different meanings in each project?
A: It's mostly about where we were in our lives at the times we started both projects. Intertwined started not long before Andrew found out he was having a baby. And Respawn was created at another transformative time where both of us were establishing new living situations.
Q: You’ve teamed up with dubstep icons like Caspa and earned major recognition from Zeds Dead, leading to the official release of your remix of their legendary track “Rude Boy.” With these monumental achievements already under your belt, what’s next for EAZYBAKED?
A: Maaaan we have so much we are working on. We have a new song with Daggz coming out this week on March 12th! We are sitting on a new EP and some biiiig collabs with Zeds Dead, Daily Bread and a grip of more friends. We got some big festival plays to be announced and we are just never not working. We are more inspired than ever right now.
