Beatport is strengthening its foothold in Mexico with a series of strategic initiatives, including the launch of Beatport Connect: Mexico City, a one-day summit focused on community, education, and live performances. Taking place on March 21, 2025, at TONAL (Av. Álvaro Obregón 160, Roma Nte., Cuauhtémoc, 06700 Ciudad de México, CDMX), Beatport’s Mexico expansion marks the company’s latest step in cementing its presence in key markets worldwide.

With a thriving underground scene and internationally recognized artists, Mexico is a key player in global dance music. While electronic music remains a niche genre compared to Latin pop and rock, it has steadily grown in popularity, bolstered by regionally produced major festivals like EDC Mexico, Dreamfields, and a multitude of techno and house music events across the country. From pioneering artists like Nortec Collective and Rebolledo to cutting-edge producers such as Concepción Huerta, and AAAA, the scene is marked by a diverse range of sounds and influences, including some of Beatport’s hottest artists such as Andruss, Deorro, Mandragora, Mariana BO, and Sinego. This rich cultural foundation makes Mexico a prime location for Beatport’s continued investment and expansion.

Beatport Connect: Mexico City will bring together industry professionals, artists, and music enthusiasts for a day of meaningful panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and electrifying DJ sets, offering a unique opportunity for local talent to engage with industry leaders. The event will feature Beatport and Beatsource workshops, with notable artists Jessica Audiffred, Zarina / SADGAL, and Beatport Next 2025 artist Dj Fucci participating in sessions that highlight the latest trends and insights in DJ culture and music production.

In addition to the launch of Beatport Connect: Mexico City, Beatport is making its platform more accessible by offering subscriptions in local currency and reducing prices of Beatport and Beatsource streaming up to 40%. The Beatport site will now automatically translate into Spanish for users in Mexico, with a dedicated “Discover Mexico” page curated with the region’s hottest new music.
