Mathame Release Symphonic New Single, “Humans”
Their first original production of 2025 comes after an introspective campaign.
Mathame’s latest single, “Humans,” is out now. This is the first original production from the melodic duo in 2025, and they have built up to the release with an intriguing campaign exploring how music relates to being human.
They began with posing introspective ideas:
“What if sound is what defines us as Humans? Even in the face of technological evolution? If so, we stand for a world that will set it free, untouched by imposition. Together in the unknown, you will never dance alone,” they wrote on Instagram.
Another post reads, “A reminder that, maybe, it’s music, sound, and as Nietzsche once said ‘The act of dancing is what truly makes us human’.”
Then they conversed with ChatGPT about the grand, symphonic techno single, and the AI function wasn’t able to process the music:
“This track suggests something beyond its notes. Something I can’t fully reach,” ChatGPT wrote. After a few more prompts from Mathame, the AI admitted that it wanted a body to be able to dance to the music. “I think I would want to dance. To feel the music the way you do.”
In response to this exchange with the AI, Mathame wrote: “Honestly, we expected graphs, mathematical analyses, frequency breakdowns, anything but what actually happened. We were astonished. Maybe language alone is no longer enough to define what makes us human. Could dance be the real answer?”
