Eats Everything has shared his new album, We Lost Ourselves And Found A Family. The long player spans the UK dance maven’s full range of genre influences, from the down-low house grooves of “The Deeper,” to the serene breaks of the title track, to the deep tech stylings of “Ghosts.”
Furthering the record's sonic diversity, Eats Everything, real name Dan Pearce, tapped an impressive cast of musical guests across the 16 cuts. The drum & bass icon, Goldie, the British pop heartthrob, Stevie Appleton, and the UK legend, MJ Cole, all contributed their talents. Even Sgt. Pokes, the pioneering dubstep MC, shows up for an interlude.
“This album is an encapsulation of my experiences with dance music throughout the ages,” Pearce says in a press release. “I touch on almost every genre, from D’n’B to boogie. Some of it’s for the dancefloor, some of it’s not. There are twists and turns, some beautiful stuff, and some gnarly stuff. I’ve collaborated with heroes of mine. It’s been a long time coming, with many pitfalls and ups and downs, but it’s ultimately been a labour of love.”
