Oppidan has shared her new single, “lose my head,” a swinging, soulful UK Garage track out now on Promised Land Records. Beginning with subdued, dreamy chords and a ghostly vocal sample, Oppidan gradually builds to a call-and-response drop that fires off a delicate whistling melody.

This is her first piece of new music this year, coming off an exciting 2024. Last year her smash hit, “MR.SANDMAN,” earned millions of streams and a nomination for “Best Track” at DJ Mag’s Best of British awards (following her nod for 'Breakthrough Producer’ in 2023). The cut was a part of her five-track debut EP, UNTITLED SINES. She also remixed Sonny Fodera’s wondrous vocal house tune, “Mind Still” into a fantastical breakbeat.

Her live dates were jam packed in 2024 as well, landing a slot at Four Tet’s curated Drumsheds party and making her Boiler Room debut alongside Hamdi and Mia Koden. The video of that set is coming out March 12.

Later this year she will perform at the electronic megafest EDC Las Vegas, Elsewhere in New York, Spybar in Chicago, and Motion Bristol, before coming back to London to play for a sold-out Village Underground audience on March 22.

“lose my head” by Oppidan is out now. Buy it on Beatport.
