Carlita will be the next artist to join the esteemed fabric presents mix series. The entry from the Turkish-Italian DJ/producer, fabric presents Carlita, is coming out on April 11 via fabric Records.
The announcement comes alongside Carlita’s new single, “Raf,” produced in partnership with Toronto’s party-house wunderkind, Andre Zimmer. This fresh track combines Zimmer’s talent for hard grooves with Carlita’s musical prowess she’s developed after years of producing dance music and studying various instruments including piano and cello. The bassline swings low within the tightened atmosphere of the drums, creating a solid backdrop for the slicing synth chords and chorus of soul singers.
“Raf” is one of two new original productions Carlita is including in her 13-track mix. The second is entitled “Stop Now.” Some of the other artists she’s selected are Butch, Paco Osuna, Toman, and Alinka.
This is also Carlita’s first release of 2025 following a massive 2024. Last year saw the release of her eclectic debut album, Sentimental, on Ninja Tune, her deeply melodic collaboration with Elderbrook, “Wait For You,” and her remix of Disclosure’s anthemic house music cut, “She’s Gone, Dance On.”
“Raf” from fabric presents Carlita is out now via fabric Records. Purchase it exclusively on Beatport.
