Chaos In The CBD has released a new single, “I Wanna Tell Somebody.” The fresh cut sees the New Zealand-born, London-based artists expand their jazzy reputation beyond four-on-the-floor kicks and into the traditional Brazilian sound of Bossa Nova. Josh Milan’s elated, soulful vocals top off the authentic, percussive rhythms and delicately swung piano.
“It’s become one of our personal favourites from the album and we hope you love it too!” Chaos in the CBD wrote on Instagram.
This track is the second single from Chaos In The CBD’s upcoming album, A Deeper Life, due out May 9 via the duo’s own label, In Dust We Trust. The first was “Love Language,” a deep groovy composition produced in collaboration with jazz maestro Nathan Haines. Towards the end of last year, Chaos In The CBD provided a remix for Haines, adding some extra danceable flair to the also Bossa Nova-influenced “Belo Dia.”
A Deeper Life will be the debut long player from Chaos in the CBD after myriad notable releases such as “78 To Stanley Bay,” “Midnight in Peckham,” and “Emotional Intelligence.” Their only full disc up to this point was their 2023 entry into the legendary fabric presents mix series.
