Breakaway, the company behind Breakaway Music Festival, has added a management and record label division to its repertoire: Breakaway Projects. The new arm has also partnered with The Orchard to provide distribution services to their artists.
Notable emerging artists such as Night Tales, Mojave Grey, and EVAN GIIA are three of the first signings for Breakaway Projects. Some of them were signed to the previous label iteration of the company, BREAKAWAY.
As a part of this comprehensive brand, they will have immediate access to festival bookings, label signings, management, and distribution through respected channels. Demo submissions are open as well.
“Breakaway is more than just a festival; it’s a vibrant community and celebration of emerging talent,” Breakaway Projects president Jaime Neely told Billboard. “Launching Breakaway Projects is the natural evolution of that spirit. We’re incredibly excited to expand the Breakaway brand into the label and management space, partnering with the next generation of artists who embody the energy and culture that defines Breakaway. Los Angeles is the perfect creative home to drive artist development, and best service our established acts providing real context through the community.”
For 2025, Breakaway has festivals planned in 12 states between April and October. Lineups have been announced for Dallas, Atlanta, Arizona, Tampa, Ohio, and Minnesota, featuring major artists such as John Summit, Chris Lake, Dom Dolla, and Fisher.
