Zeds Dead Confirm Release Date For Their New Album, ‘Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness’
The Toronto duo’s sophomore album will be out March 7.

Zeds Dead has confirmed the release date for their second full-length album, Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness. The LP will be out Friday, March 7 on their own label, Deadbeats. This record comes almost nine years after their debut, Northern Lights, which was released on October 14, 2016.
The new album was initially announced back in November of last year along with a 10-date tour that will see the Toronto-based alternative electronic duo play throughout North America. Since then the tour has expanded to include their 11th edition of Deadrocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and their second turn at Hampton Coliseum for the fittingly titled event, Second Contact.
So far, Zeds Dead, which consists of members Zach Rapp-Rovan and Dylan Mamid, have released three singles from the album: “Sweet Memories,” “Heartbeat,” and “One Of These Mornings.” All three cuts demonstrate their talent for combining pop sensibilities with modern electronic soundscapes.
Rapp-Rovan and Mamid borrow pop influence for the first and third tracks from classic soul singers Ann Peebles and Ella Fitzgerald, sampling their inimitable voices and layering them over gritty dubstep beats. “Heartbeat” is an original vocal house production, bringing together coruscating synths with Minke’s emotional tones.
“Sweet Memories,” “Heartbeat,” and “One Of These Mornings” are out now on Deadbeats. Buy them on Beatport.
