Jan Blomqvist Explores Self-Reflection in Third Studio Album: MUTE
Electronic music pioneer and live-performance virtuoso Jan Blomqvist has released his third studio album, ‘MUTE,’ an introspective and thought-provoking concept album that merges reflective lyricism with infectious dancefloor energy

Written on the road and completed in Berlin, the 12-track album captures the essence of Blomqvist’s signature sound—ethereal melodies, deep house beats, and poetic lyricism. While his previous album Disconnected explored the paradox of hyperconnectivity, MUTE delves deeper, charting a path from sadness and fear to happiness and self-discovery.
“We’re living in a world where listening has become a lost art,” says Blomqvist. “MUTE is about finding your inner voice amidst all the madness and noise.”
Standout tracks like ‘Underwater,’ ‘Destination Lost,’ ‘Muted Mind,’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ weave intricate narratives over immersive electronic soundscapes. The album also features high-profile collaborations, including Rodriguez Jr., known for his boundary-pushing electronic productions, and Beobȇ, a rising talent making waves in the scene. Natasha Polke brings her signature ethereal vocals, while Bondi adds his innovative touch as a trailblazer in electronic music. Longtime lyrical collaborator Maybemahri also returns, adding depth to the album’s introspective themes.
