LP Giobbi has confirmed that her first release of the year will be a remix album for her sophomore LP, Dotr. The fresh take on her rock-infused body of work will come out Friday, February 28, and include 12 individual cuts.

"Putting together a remix album for Dotr was really important to me. Although Dotr is an electronic album that hopefully makes you dance, I wanted to reach out to some of my favorite producers to get proper dancefloor-focused versions of these songs,” Giobbi said in a press release.

The original edition of Dotr was already filled with impressive collaborations. Acclaimed bands such as The Alabama Shakes and Portugal. The Man contributed to the album alongside vocalists like Caroline Byrne who are notable for their work throughout dance music. Now she has called upon some of her favorite dance-forward artists to provide their unique flavor.

Reflecting on her choices for remixers Giobbi said: “When I was first learning how to produce I would spend hours watching KiNK's live sets in my bedroom. I can't remember the last time I played a DJ set without playing a Luke Alessi tune. Deer Jade is one of my favorite producers and humans period. mOat only knows how to make bangers i.e "Pizza Cat" which is a staple in my sets, DJ Tennis turned me onto Sebra Cruz and I never looked back and then of course Busy P is a GD legend! I’m so grateful to everyone who helped create this project and beyond excited to share this new chapter of Dotr!"

Luke Alessi contributed three new versions of the wavy piano-heavy tune, “Been Such a Long Time,” to the release: a remix, DJ tool, and DJ tool dub. These three are out now on the Ninja Tune imprint, Counter Records. Buy them on Beatport.
