CHROMEBODIES [Aseem]: “The three of us were hanging out just listening to some songs for inspiration and referencing the kinds of music we’ve been liking a lot, and settled on making something that harkens back to old school trance music that we heard when we first got into electronic music. Jim (JSTJR) got really creative making the vocal part with his own voice while we worked on the instrumental, and then we took turns passing the project back and forth remotely until the song was completed.”
CHROMEBODIES [Chris]: “I know that Aseem and JSTJR had been longtime friends and we were around the same social circles, but JSTJR had mentioned that he was pivoting his sound to something that aligned with our Chromebodies project. At the time, the 3 of us had worked in the studio in person and came up with a couple demos but none of them felt special. I think that session served as a starting point in figuring out what we wanted to make - and one day we came up with the instrumental of Never B Lonely, sent it to JSTJR, and the rest is history.”
