Logic1000 Will Curate The Next Installment of DJ-Kicks

Logic1000 is helming the first DJ-Kicks of 2025. It’s coming out on March 28 via !K7, and she released a new track from the mix, “fused (DJ-Kicks),” to coincide with the news. This is one of two new originals of hers in the mix, which also features music from oklou, Blood Orange, downstairs J, and many more.

“This DJ-Kicks truly represents my listening habits of the past three or so years,” Logic1000, real name Samantha Poulter, wrote in a press release. The last three years have certainly been active for Poulter. Last year she released her debut album, Mother, followed by a rework EP entitled mother :;~ rebirth. As those titles suggest she also became a mom during that time, all on top of being a touring DJ.

“I’ve really slowed down and found myself going deeper with the music I find and love. The reason I chose these tracks is because I adore my mornings and home life so much. There’s such a huge amount of peace and silence in my home that when I play music like this in my space, it adds another layer to the calmness.”

“fused (DJ-Kicks)” aligns with this calm intention. The track sits at 98 bpm, harnessing a minimal, lo-fi hip-hop feel topped with the swirling electronics that Poulter has mastered throughout her impressive career.
