Can you talk us through the process of creating the track together with Anderex for this release?

“I’ve been listening to his music for a long time and “To Be High” by Nico Moreno and Warface was popular at the time so I wanted to make a cross over hard techno/rawstyle track that blends both our sounds. Something that would bring the raw and hard techno communities together; a track that could be played at a techno festival or at somewhere like Defqon 1.”

Why did you decide to release this track on Verknipt Records?

“I love Verknipt events and felt this track would suit their label since it’s a bit harder than the music I have been making recently. The elements of the track align with a lot of what the label is releasing, especially with its raw, industrial kicks. I could picture this track blasting at one of their warehouse events, which made me feel like it was the perfect fit for the Verknipt Records label.”

Do you have some DJ/producer tips and tricks from your side that you want to share to the Beatportal and Verknipt Records community?

1. Get to know your DAW and set up your shortcuts earlier so that your workflow is faster. I have a very busy schedule with touring at the moment, so I wish I had set up these earlier.

2. Make TikToks for every release, I know it’s annoying but your growth potential is limitless. It will put you in front of audiences that you may never have reached otherwise.

3. When working on tracks, I always export stems to clean up my projects because I'm a messy worker. So my tip would be when you’re halfway through a project and its getting messy, export your stems and drag them into a fresh project so that it’s cleaner and easier to work with. This makes me work a lot faster.

4. Learn Serum, it's the best sound design plugin for raw/techno leads in my opinion.
