Rooted in the dark progressive house genre, Requiem captivates with its intricate sound design, minor melodies, and mesmerizing vocal performance. The break introduces a liturgical organ, discovered by accident during production. “It was a happy mistake,” they recall, “but it shaped the entire identity of the track.”
The absence of traditional pads on the rhythmic sections posed a challenge, one the duo overcame by creating arpeggiated plucks that maintain the track’s emotive intensity. Synths crafted with Serum and Diva deliver a balance of warmth and sharpness, while the driving beats ensure a dynamic listening experience.
