Since 2019, Femme House has been reimagining the landscape of electronic music through education, empowerment, and intentional community building. In just five years, the organization has raised over $1 million and educated more than 15,000 students through free workshops, affordable online courses, scholarships, and community-building.
A non-profit organization founded by renowned DJ and producer LP Giobbi and HERMIXALOT, Femme House has been making waves in the electronic music scene since its inception. With a mission to empower and support female and gender-expansive DJs and producers, Femme House has quickly become a beacon of hope and opportunity for a generation of aspiring artists.

Recognizing the systemic inequalities within the dance music industry, Femme House has dedicated itself to creating a more inclusive and equitable space for all. In 2025, the organization is doubling down on its efforts to support BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creators, who have historically been underrepresented in the industry.
"Our responsibility remains to double down on the representative examples we platform, expand the education and resources we provide, and bridge them to real-world opportunities to create equity across dance music as a whole," said Emily Bass, Executive Director of Femme House.

2025 marks a pivotal year for Femme House as it diversifies its roster of educators, ensuring that workshops and mentorship programs are led by a diverse range of voices and perspectives.
The organization is developing new programs specifically designed to attract and support BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creators, including workshops on topics like queer culture in dance music and the history of House music.
The $15,000 grant from the Beatport Diversity + Parity Fund will be essential in driving forward Femme House’s initiatives. It will help fund in-person activations, expand the Femme House Fellowship Programs, and support the growth of their educational offerings.

During Miami Music Week, Femme House launched the Femmy Awards to honor the achievements of femme and gender-expansive creators in electronic music. The awards shone a spotlight on underrepresented talent and challenged the industry's traditional recognition practices.
Categories like Best DJ/Producer and Breakout Artist of the Year highlighted both emerging and established artists, with a focus on inclusivity and visibility for marginalized voices.

Looking ahead to the next five years, their mission is clear: to ensure that music reflects its diverse roots and to create lasting, sustainable opportunities for those who have been left out of the conversation.
