Beatport Next: Slim Soledad

Beatport has announced the artists selected for its Next Class of 2025, showcasing the emerging talents that are poised to redefine the future of electronic music. Now entering its fifth year, the program continues to spotlight the artists driving innovation, offering them the resources and exposure to expand their reach and impact.

Among this year’s exciting new talents is Slim Soledad, a Paris-based DJ and producer whose sound blends São Paulo’s underground energy with elements of techno, baile funk, and electro. With hard-edged sets that break genre boundaries, Slim’s music channels the raw vitality of São Paulo’s club scene, where she played a pivotal role as a dancer and the organizer of the city’s first trans-led parties.

Known for her electrifying presence, Slim Soledad has quickly become a global force within the electronic music world. Reflecting on her inclusion in the Beatport Next program, she expressed, “Very thankful to be part of Beatport Next 2025. This year I have a lot of ideas and sounds I’ve been experimenting with in the past years, and I am looking forward to sharing this part of me and highlighting ‘meu jeitinho bobo de ser.’”
