OMNOM & Odd Mob Take Aim at the Club Circuit with new HYPERBEAM Project
One of dance music’s most compelling collaborative forces cuts streamers a one-way ticket to clubland with the freshly formed duo’s debut release, 'All Day, All Night.'
“When I came to Spain and asked how people partying, I thought to myself, ‘What the fuck?’”
The all-hours nature of these fetes is the namesake of OMNOM and Odd Mob’s latest single, with which the cross-continental collaborators formalize their mononymous new project, HYPERBEAM. Unequivocally club-minded, from its jaunty, spoken-word vocal to its generally dark sound, “All Day, All Night” marks yet another cool-as-a-cucumber, afters-aimed effort from the American and Australian producers, who notched their first Beatport #1 following the release of “Losing Control” last September. The one-off, issued via John Summit’s Experts Only, continues to course through the dance/electronic circuit, in a testament to OMNOM and Odd Mob’s acute ear for what moves heat-seeking crowds.
Their rousing return to Insomniac Records succeeds their trance-inducing debut on the label, “Mind Awake, Body Asleep,” made at the tail end of 2023. As the single animatedly advances to digital streaming platforms, it kicks open the door to HYPERBEAM, “a platform for each of us to really experiment a bit more and just have fun with some diiiiirty club music,” per Odd Mob. Simply put, it’s been a long time coming. Listen to HYPERBEAM’s debut two-tracker below.
“There has always been a very rare kind of synergy when the two of us get in the studio together. After years of successful collaborations as Odd Mob & OMNOM, we are finally launching the HYPERBEAM project, and we’re confident we can keep delivering not only music but live experiences that people won’t be able to find anywhere else,” says OMNOM.
Hitting digital streaming platforms with verve, “All Day, All Night” heralds a new era for the sound purveyors — one rife with febrile, filthy, freewheeling club weaponry.
HYPERBEAM’s debut EP All Day, All Night is out now via Insomniac Records. Buy it on Beatport.
