Keysound Recordings are proud to announce “Parallel Flow States”
The 7th edition of the Rollage series by Dusk + Blackdown. The EP showcases both the original & dub version of “Parallels” by Dusk + Blackdown and the original & dub mix of “Flow State” by Blackdown
“Parallels” is a sour alt dimension of lights & lasers, expansive planes of grimey synths and bursts of rave energy. “And I started to see… there were so many parallels.” The dub mix is percussive, spaced out and rolling before dissolving into softness. It premiered on Dusk + Blackdown’s mixed release “RollageLive vol 1: Nightfall,” but has never been released in full.
Blackdown “mind-wandered” the idea for “Flow State” in 2018 while cycling through mountains in Norway by day dreaming “if LTJ Bukem did a 130 track, what would it be like?” The resulting track doesn’t sound much like a Good Looking release & that’s OK, that’s the wonder of mind-wandering: you never know where you will end up. Turns out you end up here. Or maybe in parallel there. “I just go with the flow.”
