Sugar Rush: Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP's "Sugar Man" Turns 10

A Double Dose of Dancefloor Delight to Celebrate a Decade of Hits

Untitled Catalog7347

Life is hard.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not being negative when I say that.... I'm just telling you the facts.

Being human is a hard job. You have a lot of things to do.... and only so much time to do them..........

The good news is that we all have our own things that help us deal with life's challenges.... Some people have yoga... some have meds.... some have alcohol (not my advice but also follow charm)... some people have music....

Me? I have WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

You see.... WILLY WONKA is the sum of all wisdom. If you have any question in life, chances are you will get the answer somewhere in WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

Which brings me to SUGAR MAN.

Our boy Willy isn't the only Sugar Man. Sugar Man was also the 1970 hit single by Detroit musician Sixto Rodriguez, which got a remix by Grammy nominated, ARIA winning YOLANDA BE COOL & DCUP back in 2014 (AKA... 10 years ago...) which (just quietly) sold double platinum and peaked in the top 10 singles charts....

To celebrate the song's 10th birthday, the boys went to the chocolate factory and came out with a 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY MIX by YOLANDA BE COOL & DCUP and a womp womp for tha D floor house sun setter remix by ALEXANDER SOM. And both are ready to reignite the summer fun that's about to kick off (even if you are in the part of the world where it's winter).

Willy Wonka once said "Don’t forget what happened to the person who suddenly got everything they always wanted.... They lived happily ever after".

The same could be said about the person who suddenly got this promo.

Much love,

Team Sweat
