Steve Aoki, Nile Rodgers, Sam Feldt, XANDRA, and Zak Abel Kick Off Party Season with Vibrant Take on Diana Ross’s ‘I’m Coming Out’

Born from a collaboration between two-time Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Steve Aoki and legendary musician Nile Rodgers, “I’m Going Out” arrives just in time to ignite the party season. This reimagined anthem draws inspiration from the uplifting spirit and empowering message of Diana Ross’s 1980 classic, “I’m Coming Out.” With a modern twist, the track merges the iconic melodies of the original with fresh production and new lyrics, crafted by Sam Feldt, XANDRA, and Zak Abel. Rodgers, who co-wrote and produced the original with Bernard Edwards of CHIC, shared his connection to the project:

Sam Feldt and DJ sensation XANDRA bring their signature house-pop style to “I’m Going Out,” building on successes like Feldt’s chart-topping remix of “Mi Amor” with JVKE & Anitta, and XANDRA’s breakout debut, “Body Say.” The track’s minimalist drum beats, subtle percussion, and electrifying drop are elevated by Zak Abel’s powerhouse vocals.
