Aeska's Local Selections: Future Frequency Festival (South Africa)
Ahead of her performance at Cape Town's Future Frequency Festival, South African DJ/producer Aeksa showcases some of her favorite local South African flavors with an exclusive Beatport playlist.

As a DJ and producer, I’ve always been deeply connected to South Africa’s incredible music scene. It’s a true honor to present this Beatport chart, which features 14 tracks from local artists who are leading the charge in shaping the future of our sound. South African talent is unmatched — our artists have an energy and originality that can't be found anywhere else, and it’s amazing to see our music making waves globally.
While this chart represents just a small selection of what’s available on the platform, there are many other gifted artists who are making a huge impact. I wanted to curate a collection of tracks that reflect the vibrant and diverse spirit of South African electronic music. Though not all the talent from our scene is included here, this chart serves as a testament to the sheer breadth and creativity of what’s happening in South Africa right now. A special mention goes out to Alarico, who is a true local, repping mzansi wherever he goes.
