Mathame Unleash Their Highly-Anticipated Collaboration with LYKE, “Discovery Channel”
The Revered Italian DJ Duo Return With Pulsating Intensity And An Instantly Recognizable Sample From Bloodhound Gang

Italian brothers and Emo Tech duo, Mathame, have once again tantalized listeners with the release of their latest single, “Discovery Channel,” that arrives today as a demonstration and reminder of their technical prowess and dynamic, groundbreaking vision. The high-octane track immediately dives into the deepest throws of Mathame’s innovative spirit as the duo brings the infectious rhythm to life with an instantly recognizable vocal sample from Bloodhound Gang’s “The Bad Touch.”
A collaboration with LYKE that came together in a matter of days, “Discovery Channel” transcends genres, generations and dimensions and has quickly tantalized crowds at performances across the globe. The track bursts with nostalgia, as the duo take listeners on a journey through their psyche to one of their most precious adolescent memories, watching ‘The Bad Touch’ music video. Reminiscing on the golden age of MTV and one of their first memories of music videos, the brothers infuse their cinematic underground edge into an otherwise humorous track, showcasing their boundless vitality as they continue to breathe new life into tracks of other genres and decades, blurring the lines between reverie and reality. Listen below.
Speaking about the release, Mathame said: “For us, despite the seemingly light-hearted nature of the original track, it’s one of the most profound memories from our adolescence. It was the golden age of MTV, and The Bad Touch was one of the first music videos we ever saw. Beneath the humor and the energy, we always felt there was this dark, hypnotic melancholy lurking underneath. So, when Lyke suggested we work on it, it was almost instinctive—it felt so natural to bring out that darker tone we had always sensed. The track came together in just a few days, like it had been waiting for us to transform it. From the very first moment, we knew we were onto something special. It immediately became a hypnotic, magical piece in our sets, a constant feature that captures the crowd every time. It was magical from the start.”
The hard hitting masterpiece unleashes a euphoric wave of sound, highlighting the effervescent, hypnotic vision that has cemented the duo as an undeniable industry force and earned Mathame critical acclaim.
2024 has marked a triumphant return of Mathame’s shared artistic vision, seeing the releases critically-acclaimed singles “I Will Find You,” and “Angel” alongside their groundbreaking Ibiza residency and show concept - NEO - that was officially unveiled to the world on October 5 at the iconic Brooklyn Mirage. “Discovery Channel” arrives as a continuation of Mathame’s poignant odyssey, carving out a unique space for themselves and pushing the limits of the genre in a way that’s nothing short of pure alchemy.
