Objekt Christens his New Label, Kapsela, with a Classic Reissue
The Berlin-based leftfield maestro has put out his definitive track, “Ganzfeld,” alongside a series of brand-new remixes.

Objekt is taking his career to the next, curatorial, level, with the launch of his new label: Kapsela. This will be the first label under his charge, and he is kicking off his discography with a reissue of one of his most celebrated tracks: “Ganzfeld.”
Upon its original release a decade ago, “Ganzfeld” unambiguously divulged Objekt’s reputation as an artist who does his own thing. In 2014 (which was peak EDM era), a BPM of 147 and a non-repeating breakbeat were outside most DJs' standard repertoire. But Objekt’s production expertise (he moonlights as an engineer for Native Instruments) presented these unconventional elements in such a way that caught the ears of global audiences.
Now, with high tempos and contorted rhythms being standard practice in clubs all over the world, Objekt can celebrate music that goes even further outside the lines with Kapsela.
Alongside the reissue of “Ganzfeld,” comes four new remixes. One of them is from the UK’s Djrum who took the already sporadic original and morphed it into a 10-minute piece of music that resembles a classical symphony. The rework opens with somber pads and piano chords. Second by second, inch by inch, rapid-fire drums filter in, building to utter cacophony before once again dissipating into nothing before the music comes to a close. Listen below.
