London Elektricity Launches Brand New Label: Fast Soul Music

London Elektricity has never been happier.

After 30 years of continuously shifting the global drum & bass scene for the better, the UK-born DJ/producer and Hospital Records label founder is focusing on one thing: writing songs with his friends and fellow producers. Now, these songs have a home called Fast Soul Music, London Elektricity’s new imprint.

“Fast Soul Music is the embodiment of the life I have been enjoying as an artist and songwriter over the last few years. The music and my relationship with the creative process have never been stronger,” London Elektricity tells Beatportal.

On the first Fast Soul Music release, entitled “Don’t Stop,” London Elektricity brings in the diverse vocal talents of Doktor to add some human melody over a breakbeat that is equal parts jazzy and jittery. Listen below.

Future releases will see collaborations with other celebrated talents like Catching Cairo, DJ Marky, Makoto, Zara Kershaw, Anile, Elsa Esmaralda and more.

“Having run Hospital Records for nearly 30 years, the artists, the staff, the shows etc… All of the music & memories are remembered fondly and I’m so grateful to have shared in so many incredible artists’ journeys and the legacy we all built,” London Elektricity continues. “That being said, I’m happy to now take a step forward from running that business, and I’m loving every moment of rediscovering the joy of making and releasing music I haven’t felt in quite some time.”
