The pitch is set, and Beatport's Los Angeles-based squad is lacing up their cleats to compete in the fifth annual Copa del Rave charity soccer tournament, presented by adidas.
On October 3rd at Evolve Project, Beatport will compete against teams from Circa, Downtown Music, INFAMOUS, Red Light Management, Symphonic Distribution, and UTA to win the trophy and music industry bragging rights. A stellar squad of DJs and producers will also join these teams, including Ardalan, Chris Lorenzo, Mary Droppinz, SG Lewis, XIE, and more.
Each team must donate to compete, and the winning team will pick the charity that will receive this year’s donation. Over its past four installments, Copa del Rave has raised just under $50,000 for a multitude of charitable causes.
This year, Beatport will be working its way up and down the field to raise money for MusiCares. Offering preventive, emergency, and recovery programs, MusiCares is a safety net supporting the health and welfare of the music community. You can learn all about their life-changing charity work here.
“We’re super proud to be celebrating the fifth edition of Copa del Rave, and a huge thanks to adidas for their help this year,” said Alastair Duncan and Jonathan McDonald, co-founders of Copa del Rave. “There have been some epic goals and gaffs over the years, some money raised for great causes, and a lot of fun on the field. We may all be five years older, and a yard or two slower but we can’t wait to get back out there!”
Copa del Rave is open to the public (21+) and will occur between 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on October 3rd. Learn more here!
