Tollef & Deerock Team Up for New Funky House Single "Slowly (feat. RVLE)"
A Groovy Fusion of Funk, Love, and Inspiration as Tollef Prepares for His December EP Release
Norwegian producer and guitarist Tollef is back with "Slowly (feat. RVLE)", a funky house track in collaboration with American producer Deerock. Tollef, whose sound draws inspiration from artists like Madeon, Daft Punk, and The 1975, has already gained recognition with features on popular TV shows such as Love Island US and Made In Chelsea. This track is the first of five releases leading up to his Commence EP, which is set to drop in December via OH2 Records.
Tollef explains, “Deerock and I connected a while back and decided to remix a track we really loved. The first version was a bit different, and it got turned down by the label who owned the original song. We decided to work a bit more on it, and it became something that felt really special to both of us. It became even more special when we got RVLE to hop on as well. 'Slowly' is truly a mood booster.”
RVLE adds, “Tollef and I have worked on some music before, and he had this track lying around. I immediately got a lot of inspiration, and the song almost wrote itself. Personally, I can relate to the lyrics a lot, so I was able to fully express myself with this track.”
"Slowly" is a funky, uplifting tune that captures the emotional rollercoaster of love — navigating the uncertainty of whether someone feels the same way. It's all about hoping that if they don’t, they’ll at least “let you down slowly.” The song’s infectious groove makes it the perfect backdrop for road trips with friends or getting hyped for a night out.
This single marks the beginning of Tollef's Commence EP, which gives a clever twist to the classic fable of the tortoise and the hare. In this story, the tortoise falls in love with the hare, trying everything to win her over. This quirky spin adds charm and humor to Tollef’s evolving musical narrative.
