French producer Raev Andersen and German artist PKNeer have joined forces for ‘Keys To Serenity’, a track inspired by acceptance, gratitude, and a connection to nature.
Taking inspiration from personal milestones and a desire to reflect on life's serene moments, this collaboration explores Deep and Organic House.
Raev Andersen drew inspiration from the birth of his first child, a significant event that prompted a reflection on his daily life. This experience, combined with his recent work with American producer Vellichor, opened him to new musical styles, blending deep, melodic elements with introspective rhythms. PKNeer found renewed inspiration in Raev’s initial ideas, transforming his creative block into a harmonious composition.
The creative process was unique, with Raev Andersen providing PKNeer with the initial musical ideas, which PKNeer then developed into a cohesive track. Despite the inherent collaboration challenges, their combined efforts resulted in a smooth workflow and a well-balanced final piece.
Technologically, Raev Andersen used Ableton Live and the "Noir" piano plugin from Native Instruments to craft the rich, atmospheric sound. Bringing a unique perspective to the piano parts, his background as a guitarist created a genuine and creative sound. PKNeer’s experience with Serum and Diva plugins further enhanced the track, giving it a warm, analog feel despite being produced entirely digitally.
Raev Andersen and PKNeer hope that "Keys To Serenity" evokes a sense of calm and happiness in listeners, capturing the essence of serenity. As Raev Andersen says, "Serenity is something simple to understand and yet so difficult to approach. This track does not claim to bring it to you; however, if its energy touches you and brings you a smile, I will be the happiest." PKNeer echoes this sentiment, adding, "If we could create a small moment of joy for the listener in their stressful daily life, that would be awesome."
