OMNOM's Behind-The-Scenes Look at the 'By Myself' Official Music Video
A peek behind the curtain into the official music video for OMNOM's new single on Insomniac Records.
LA native OMNOM has been eating up the house scene with his experimental grooves, notorious for crafting wonky, idiosyncratic club tracks made for maximal impact. Coming off his critically acclaimed ‘The Unexplained’ EP via his collaborative project HYPERBEAM on Insomniac Records, the veteran producer returns to the label with his standalone single.
Joined by singer/songwriter, producer and create director, XKYLAR, his latest offering “By Myself” is a hefty house cut pinned to a vocal hook that oozes confidence. In conjunction with the release, OMNOM has dropped the official music video, which features a cameo from the artist himself during the final scene.
OMNOM offers a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the music video with a breakdown of how it came together and a peek on site while it was being shot. In his words:
“When we set out to do a music video for “By Myself” we really wanted to express the track's theme of embracing independence and celebrating individuality. We didn’t want to create just another visualizer to accompany the song, we wanted to create something that would enhance the experience. The goal was to create a video that not only captured the essence of the track but also engages the viewers on a deeper level, allowing them to interpret and connect with it in their own way."
"Of course, I didn’t actually direct the video, personally. I was fortunate enough to collaborate with Aaron Kessler and Devin Dilmore, who truly understood the song’s core message. Working with talented directors allowed us to explore concepts and visual styles that added extra layers of depth and mystery to the song. Aaron and Devin’s direction and vision for the video aligned perfectly with the song’s theme. Their creative interpretation and expertise in visual storytelling helped bring those ideas to life in a way that I couldn’t have achieved alone."
"Seeing the final product come together has been truly awesome, and I hope it offers a memorable experience for everyone who watches it.”
