Bingo Players Talk Collaborating with Fatman Scoop & Disco Fries

Bingo Players has long been a staple in the dance music world, known for infectious, high-energy anthems. The latest track, a collaboration with Disco Fries and the legendary Fatman Scoop, is no exception. In a recent chat with Beatportal, Bingo Players shared insights into the creative process, the evolution of the track, and the significance of working with one of hip-hop and club music’s most iconic voices.
The collaboration was sparked by an ongoing creative relationship with Disco Fries. Bingo Players and Disco Fries had worked together in the past, and the two kept in touch over the years, exchanging ideas now and then.
"Nick reached out to me with the main melody and asked if I had any ideas for it. I really liked the hook and thought I could do something with it," Bingo Players recalled. This initial idea led to the collaboration, and soon after, the powerhouse of Fatman Scoop was added to the mix.
Fatman Scoop is a name synonymous with energy, and his voice is instantly recognizable in the club scene. His iconic shout vocals have elevated countless tracks, and Bingo Players was thrilled to have him on board.
"Actually, I’ve never met him in person," Bingo Players admitted. "That’s the beauty of the internet—everyone working from their own homes in different countries. Nick [from Disco Fries] was close with Fatman Scoop and asked if I’d like to have him on the track. Of course, I was all for it; the man is a legend!"
Scoop’s energetic vocal performance helped transform the track, injecting a level of passion and power that immediately connected with Bingo Players’ vision for the song.
As a producer known for crafting upbeat, crowd-pleasing tracks, Bingo Players initially approached the song with a slower tempo, taking inspiration from Tiesto & R3hab’s Run Free. However, as the track progressed, it became clear that a more energetic, big-room EDM sound would suit the melody better.
"The melody is so strong that everything came together very naturally," Bingo Players explained. The change in production direction helped push the song to new heights, giving it the festival-ready feel that’s now a staple of Bingo Players’ sound.
Disco Fries, known for their genre-blending abilities, played a crucial role in shaping the final version of the track. For Bingo Players, it was refreshing to focus on production elements from the start without having to create the melody themselves.
"It was nice not having to think of the melody myself this time and instead start working on other elements of the production right away," Bingo Players noted. By skipping the usual step of building the melody from scratch, Bingo Players could dive into experimenting with new sounds and arrangements right off the bat.
Like any track, this one came with its challenges. Finding the right direction for the track took time, especially when deciding between a slower tempo and the more uptempo big-room style. In the end, Bingo Players were happy with the final direction, and Disco Fries played a key role in wrapping up the track when Bingo Players hit a creative block.
"When I finished my part, I had no more ideas left, so Disco Fries wrapped it up and made it sound really big," Bingo Players said. The collaborative nature of the project made it easier to overcome challenges and ensured that the final product was as powerful as possible.
Tragically, the release of this track coincided with the passing of Fatman Scoop, a moment that has deeply affected Bingo Players and the team. Having worked with such a legendary figure, it was heartbreaking to hear the news on the day of the track's release.
"Getting the news was a very sad and surreal moment for me, hearing he had passed away, even more so considering we released the single featuring him the same day," Bingo Players reflected. "He was and is such an important voice in hip-hop and club music. Knowing this is one of his last records puts it in a different perspective, and we feel honored to have collaborated with such a talent. He'll truly be missed."
While this track holds special significance, Bingo Players are already looking toward the future. With upcoming collaborations with Plastik Funk and Landis, Bingo Players is continuing to push their sound into new areas, blending influences from disco to pop/dance.
"I’ve been working on two other collaborations—one with Plastik Funk that’s coming soon, which is a disco-influenced record. I also have something coming up with Landis, which is more on the pop/dance side," Bingo Players shared. With new music on the horizon and a continued passion for experimentation, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Bingo Players.
In the end, this release is more than just another festival anthem—it’s a tribute to Fatman Scoop’s lasting legacy, a collaboration built on trust and creativity, and a sign that Bingo Players remains at the forefront of the dance music scene, ready to evolve with every new track.
