Hype Label of the Month: Arms & Legs
We celebrate the extraordinary and rollicking dancefloor method and sound behind Daniel Steinberg and Kristin Velvet's pivotal Berlin-based house music label, Arms & Legs.

Established in 2011 the Berlin-based imprint Arms & Legs has been a beacon of feel-good house and front-line techno for over a decade. The same year of its founding, the indomitable Australian DJ/producer Kristin Velvet joined the pair in running the label soon after her move to the German capital, and she has been an integral part of its story ever since.
This prolific musical partnership between all three artists was built on a desire to maximize the good times and ensure that everyone in earshot of their sound will keep shaking their limbs. Created initially as a vehicle for their own productions, the popularity of their records on Arms & Legs would soon find them releasing music from legendary outside talents such as Felix Da Housecat, Paul Johnson, 808 State, Crazy P, Prok & Fitch, Cari Lekebush, Jan Driver, and more.
Label bosses Kristin Velvet and Daniel Steinberg remain as the primary drivers behind the gargantuan and groovy Arms & Legs catalog, proving their ceaseless production prowess with a treasure trove of dancefloor burners like "The Track," "Changes," "Two Hearts," "Smoke," and many more. We caught up with Velvet and Steinberg to get the lowdown on their favorite of each other's tracks and the "here to make you dance" ethos behind their impressive imprint. Check out the video below.
