In Oslo, the Norwegian capital, the city's seal (or coat of arms) reads Unanimiter et constant, which, when translated from Latin, means "United and Constant." One could apply that same motto to Oslo's thriving underground music scene, which has gained significant popularity over the past decade-plus.

One of the key figures leading the charge for Oslo's dancefloors is Simon Field — a prominent DJ/producer who has amassed a loyal following thanks to his unique production chops and comprehensive knowledge of the house genre in all its forms.

With releases on labels like Armada, Ultra, Perfect Havoc, Groove Culture, and beyond, he's amassed hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify and proven himself to be a staple of the Norwegian club circuit with residencies at clubland destinations like Skagum, Jæger, and Natt.

Simon Field's recent release, the impactful nine-track album Panda — released via his homegrown Basement Records imprint — has been a significant milestone in his career. Beatport has recognized this and linked up with Simon Field to highlight some of the artists whose fantastic productions and dynamic DJ skills are driving Oslo's electronic music culture forward.
