Metodi Hristov Makes His Drumcode Debut with the Stunning ‘Build to Destroy’ EP
Drumcode proudly introduces a fresh face to its roster as Bulgarian DJ and producer Metodi Hristov makes his debut with the highly anticipated ‘Build to Destroy’ EP.
With a career spanning over a decade, Hristov has steadily built a strong reputation, releasing standout tracks on renowned labels such as Terminal M, Octopus, and Filth on Acid. His consistent quality has not gone unnoticed by techno heavyweight Adam Beyer, placing Hristov firmly on Beyer’s radar.
Drumcode has always been a dream destination for Hristov. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, "Drumcode has always been a goal of mine, but it wasn’t until last October that I fully committed to the idea. I dedicated three intense months in the studio, crafting what I believe to be some of the best work of my career."
Leading the EP is ‘Flatline,’ a mesmerizing techno track that oozes groove and charisma. The track effortlessly blends dreamy synths and captivating vocals with a mix of silky and punchy elements. Following this, the title track ‘Build to Destroy’ bursts onto the scene with powerful low-end energy, layered with atmospheric bass stabs and rhythmic effects that keep listeners hooked until the very end. It's a dynamic addition to the Drumcode catalog, showcasing Hristov's mastery of his craft.
Hristov credits fellow Drumcode artist Bart Skils for connecting him with Adam Beyer, who quickly recognized the potential of the tracks. "When Adam reached out and asked if I’d like to release them on Drumcode, it was a surreal moment. I’m forever grateful to Bart for his support," Hristov says.
