kiskadee, the London-based electronic music producer and composer, has just released his highly anticipated debut album, ‘A Room To Breathe’, through Another Rhythm. This eagerly awaited album marks a significant milestone in kiskadee’s career, showcasing his distinctive blend of emotive melodies, intricate beats, and lush soundscapes.

The creation of ‘A Room To Breathe’ was profoundly influenced by kiskadee’s time in a secluded studio in Iceland. Surrounded by snow and breathtaking vistas, he aimed to capture the interplay between organic and electronic elements. “I really wanted to capture the dual worlds of organic and electronic in this,” kiskadee explains. “It totally informed the rest of the album.”

The album’s lead single, “U,” features vocals by Cape Cub (Chad Male) and was the initial track created for the project. This track reflects the introspective nature of the album and the experimental approach kiskadee adopted while revisiting old projects before isolating himself in Iceland.

Another standout track, “Euphoric Recall,” features vocals from Benjamin Francis Leftwich and combines synths with strings and ambient textures. Written in Iceland, this track beautifully captures the sense of space and serenity that influenced the album’s sound.
