Chase & Status Join Forces with Stormzy on the Powerhouse Banger, “BACKBONE”

Recently, Chase & Status has gained significant recognition for their 2023 single “Baddadan,” seeing plays at festivals globally by world-class DJs such as Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Dom Dolla, and many more. The single remained in the UK top 10 for 15 consecutive weeks; and now, they’re hoping to do the same with their latest single, “BACKBONE.”

Tapping UK Grime idol Stormzy to lead the track's vocal charge, the track marks the award-winning artist's first foray into the drum 'n' bass genre. Mixing his bullish and tight rapping style with Chase & Status’ signature drum ‘n’ bass sound makes for a wildly energetic and head-bumping track. The duo first teased the song during their Coachella performance when they brought Stormzy out to perform alongside them.
