Cromby Releases 'House Flava EP' on Sally C’s Big Saldo’s Chunkers
The four-track EP from Irish DJ and producer Cromby debuts on longtime friend Sally C’s Big Saldo’s Chunkers label.
In 2016, Cromby and Sally C minted their friendship after fortuitously meeting in their adopted city of Berlin, forging a close bond through shared dance floors and B2B sets. Cromby is the only person Sally C will go record shopping with. This collaboration was long-awaited, to say the least.
House Flava EP marks the fifth release on Big Saldo’s Chunkers. Big Saldo’s Chunker 001, (2020) Big Saldo’s Chunker 002’ (2022) and Big Saldo’s Chunker 003 (2023) were all previously released under the label by Sally C, and BELLA released her Note to Self EP under the label in 2024.
With a continuous flow of high energy and bouncy rhythms throughout House Flava EP, Cromby invokes pure movement and the desire to race to the dance floor. "Free" features Cromby’s vocal debut, and the title track "House Flava" has already received some acclaim in January at Nachtiville Festival.
