Patrick Topping Delivers Supercharged Club Banger, "Energy"

Continuing his rousing residency at Hï Ibiza this summer, British dance music visionary Patrick Topping has dropped a fresh and electrifying tune titled "Energy" — a track which has quickly become a highlight for all those attending his gigs.

"Energy" marks the artist's first new single on his Trick imprint in over a year and follows his most recent collaboration with Scottish producer and Trick regular Ewan McVicar, who came together on the hefty Ministry of Sound tune "Northern Rhythm."

"It's called 'Energy,' and that's the vibe also! Made it to get you going," Topping tells Beatportal. "The vocal is insane, so I kept the vibes high, with a housey feel, but it also hits hard and fast, too." Listen below.

The track comes a week before Topping's plans to return to his city of origin, Newcastle, to put on his biggest hometown event to date, TrickFest. Going down on Saturday, August 3rd, the three-stage event will see performances from heavy hitters such as Dom Dolla, Hannah Laing, John Summit, Testpress, Paul Woolford, Korolova, and more.
