Overmono's “Gem Lingo” is a Continuation of the Duo's Limitless Distinction
Brothers Tom and Ed Russell of Overmono collaborate with South London singer-songwriter Ruthven on this soaring summer single — out now via XL Recordings.
Since it’s first play at Overmono’s @TheLotRadio set with Fred again.. and Lil Yacthy to celebrate the release of their collaborative single “stayinit,” “Gem Lingo (ovr now) feat. Ruthven” has racked up over 300k views through multiple online leaks. Today, the single has been released worldwide via XL Recordings, and it premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record with Jack Saunders.
Ruthven’s soulful vocals surrounded by Overmono’s bouncy and melodic production creates a sound that can reach any audience. “Gem Lingo (ovr now) feat. Ruthven” follows the release of Overmono’s highly sought-after version of The Streets’ “Turn the Page” and comes one year after their critically acclaimed debut album “Good Lies” (hailed by The Guardian as "UK rave history distilled to perfection").
Overmono’s 2024 Pure Devotion World Tour will take the band to Brooklyn, Toronto, and different cities across the United Kingdom and Japan starting in Bristol on September 28th. They also plan to perform at some of the biggest festivals in the world with forthcoming appearances at Reading & Leads, Sziget, HARD Summer, and more. “Gem Lingo (ovr now) feat. Ruthven'' will undoubtedly be on display. Listen below.
