One of New York City's oldest and most respected house labels, King Street Sounds, has embarked on a new era in 2024. After being acquired by Armada Music, the iconic imprint has undergone a relaunch and visual rebrand to help call attention to its rich history and dance floor legacy. 

Founded over three decades ago in the aftermath of NYC's Paradise Garage era by Hisanao Ishioka, King Street Sounds has served up hundreds of gems from house music royalty including Mood II Swing, DJ Pierre, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Barbara Tucker, Louie Vega, and countless others.

As part of this relaunch, Beatport has teamed up with Armada University to present a phenomenal remix opportunity for one of the label's signature releases, "I Hear You Dreaming (feat. Heather Johnson" by Ananda Project.

Multi-instrumentalist and dance guru Chris Brann spawned this house-bred project in the late '90s alongside Heather Johnson, Justin Chapman, and Terrance Downs. The brooding electronic sounds composed by the Ananda Project have been remixed by heavyweights like Larry Heard, King Britt, Danny Tenaglia, and more — now is your chance to add your name to this list of legendary remixers. Listen to the track below.
