Beatport and Rockstar Games Announce GTA Remix Challenge

Following the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online’s latest nightclub update, The Cayo Perico Heist and the launch of its new nightclub, The Music Locker, Beatport has partnered with Rockstar Games to celebrate the vast musical legacy of the video game with a series of livestreams from the game’s wide array of radio station hosts and resident DJs alongside DJ Charts and much more.

As part of this celebration, Beatport and Rockstar Games are pleased to announce the launch of its Grand Theft Auto Remix Challenge. Kicking off on Friday, February 26th, the winner of the remix challenge will receive a track premiere on Beatportal, direct support on all of Beatport’s social channels, and take home a massive $6,000 music production prize package.

The track in question for the remix challenge is “Pool Song” by Berlin-based duo Lea Porcelain. The whimsical, synth-heavy tune is a GTA Radio favorite and has forthcoming remixes on the way from the likes of Âme, Frank Wiedemann, Blawan, and Roman Flügel. Check out the track below.

All the submitted remixes will be heard by a panel of judges, including members of Beatport and the Lea Porcelain Recordings label. The winner will be notified on Monday, March 29th. From there, the winner will score an official release on the label and a track premiere here on Beatportal, which will then be shared via Beatport and Rockstar’s social channels on Friday, April 9th.
