Relive EE x Beatport Presents: Parallel with Yousef, Hot Since 82, DJ Paulette, and more.
Beatport joined forces with EE, the UK’s best network, to host a brand new and wholly futuristic club concept for two amazing nights this Summer in both Manchester and Liverpool.
A hybrid club night focused around local talent and titans of the electronic music scene, the two EE x Beatport Presents Parallel events were cutting-edge, experimental hybrid club nights hosted at different venues in the two cities, and brought together over EE’s 5G network.
Taking over the Liberté Rooftop and Matou Roof Terrace in Liverpool and the famed club Hatch in Manchester, EE and Beatport succeeded in pulling off a clubland first — making it possible for each performer to go B2B with the other DJ at the opposing location using EE’s first-rate 5G network. Mixing blind, and trusting their instincts and the technology to pull off the UK first.
Featuring some fantastic solo performances from the likes of Yousef, Melé, Gina Breeze, DJ Paulette, James Organ, and two unique, 5G-powered B2B sessions with Siân Bennett and Lauren Lo Sung along with Neil Diablo and Massey, the lineup of DJs gave it their all ripped up the dance floor on each occasion.
So how did these B2B sessions work? EE’s 5G network provides the low latency and superfast speeds needed to mix two live sets together seamlessly from two remote locations.
The cutting-edge performance concept delivered an exciting twist for the artists and fans in attendance, who were able to watch, listen, and dance to the same set being broadcast and produced in two different spaces simultaneously. With the landmark performances livestreamed in real-time over 5GEE, so audiences at home could be part of the action.

LIVERPOOL
The first Parallel night in Liverpool took place at two separate nightlife venues — Liberté Rooftop and Matou Roof Terrace — with performances by Yousef and Siân Bennett, from Liberté Rooftop, along with Melé, Lauren Lo Sung, and James Organ playing from Matou Roof Terrace. MANCHESTER
The second Parallel in Manchester took place at Hatch, as well as a secret, crowd-free location elsewhere in the city. Headlined by Knee Deep In Sound boss Hot Since 82, with supporting DJ sets from DJ Paulette and Gina Breeze, local Manchester heroes Massey (Sprechen) and Neil Diablo took on their 5GEE powered B2B session with choice cuts and an eager to dance attitude.
